RefreshOS 1.0 was built on Kubuntu 20.04 and marked eGoTech™'s first stable operating system release. This version replaced several KDE applications with more lightweight and elegant open-source alternatives. It was the first to include an installer and was released alongside its updated counterpart, RefreshOS 1.23.
Note: As of April 2023, RefreshOS 1.0 is no longer supported by eGoTech™, and Kubuntu 20.04 LTS, which serves as its core, is no longer supported by Canonical. This web page is maintained by eGoTech™ for archival purposes. RefreshOS 1.23 follows the same build process as RefreshOS 1.0 but is based on Kubuntu 22.04 LTS, which will receive Canonical updates until 2025.
